Demonstration of Transforming Deoxyribonucleic Acid in an Autolysate of a Group H Streptococcus

ABSTRACT

Highly active transforming deoxyribonucleic acid was obtained from an autolysate of competent strain Wicky group H streptococcal cells that were resistant to both dihydrostreptomycin and rifampin.
