Observations on Replication and Cell Division in Synchronous Cultures of the Blue-Green Alga Anacystis nidulans

ABSTRACT

A second synchrony induction treatment, half-way through the deoxyribonucleic acid replication process of an already synchronized culture, resulted in defective subsequent cell growth. This supports a previous explanation for the partial loss of viability after synchrony induction.
