Presence of Bacteriophage-Like Inhibitory Particles in Escherichia coli

ABSTRACT

Bacteriophage-like particles were found in the supernatant fluids of Escherichia coli O111a and O111:B4. Caution is urged in the study of deoxyribonucleic acid synthesis and replication in these strains.
