Suppression of a Mutation Disruptive to Nuclear Migration in Schizophyllum by a Gene Linked to the B Incompatibility Factor

ABSTRACT

A gene which can suppress a specific mutation disruptive to nuclear migration in Schizophyllum is described. It controls the rate of migration of invading nuclei through the mutant mycelium, thus suppressing the mutant character. The gene is located between the two loci of the B incompatibility factor.
