Size of the Chromosome of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO

ABSTRACT

Electron microscope examination and velocity sedimentation analysis of the deoxyribonucleic acid released from Pseudomonas aeruginosa spheroplasts indicate that this organism carries the bulk of its genetic determinants in a single duplex deoxyribonucleic acid molecule having a molecular mass of 2.1 x 109 daltons.
