Volume 185, no. 20, p. 6195-6198. Pages 6195-6198: We inadvertently failed to cite a recent study which found that the Arg21Trp mutant of MexR was capable of forming a dimer but showed compromised repressor activity (L. Adewoye, A. Sutherland, R. Srikumar, and K. Poole, J. Bacteriol. 184:4308-4312, 2002); the investigators speculated that the mutation might affect DNA binding.
