Differential inhibition of bacterial growth and hemolysin production by lincosamide antibiotics.

ABSTRACT
Lincomycin and clindamycin, at concentrations below those which partially inhibited bacterial growth, completely suppressed the production of streptolysin S. Chloramphenicol and erythromycin had no effect on hemolysin production.
