Volume 179, no. 21, p. 6665-6673, 1998. Page 6670, Table 1, values for strain CLT5178: For cells grown on uracil the value should be 1,800 nmol/min/mg, and for cells grown on UMP the value should be 9,850 nmol/min/mg; the fold regulation should be 5.5. Comparisons of enzyme and RNA transcript levels involving the erroneous values, which were of minor importance in the paper, need to be adjusted. Other data and conclusions, including the regulatory model, are not affected.
