Volume 187, no. 12, p. 4286-4289, 2005. Page 4287, Table 1: kcat and kcat/Km values associated with EncP and V83A EncP should be multiplied by 0.001. The data should read as follows: EncP kcat, 4.79 ± 0.28 ms–1; EncP kcat/Km, 0.208 mM–1 s–1; V83A EncP kcat, 99.58 ± 1.78 ms–1; V83A EncP kcat/Km, 0.829 mM–1 s–1. The revised kcat data do not alter the conclusions of the paper.
