All Rights Reserved.): Electron micrograph of neutral lipid inclusions in Acinetobacter sp. strain ADP1 cells composed of wax esters and minor amounts of triglycerides. These storage lipids are biosynthesized by a novel type of acyltransferase with an extraordinary low substrate specificity, which is not homologous to enzymes synthesizing similar lipids in eukaryotes.
